Hi all,

I am really annoyed right now... there is a little plastic bracket on the drivers side power window regulator (sits on a 'U' shaped bracket about in the middle of the door) and I can't buy just that, I have to replace the whole system.

Now I can go to a wreckers and buy it for $165 and try and fit the whole lot myself... but I am a bit nervous about that... how hard is it to do? Also it has the same type of plastic bracket so I don't want it to break again.

OR I can go to mitsi and buy the new style of system (they don't sell my type any more) fitted for around the $500-$600 mark...

Advice?

Cheers
Pete

No I can't attach a pic as I have just 'fixed' it.
The plastic rectangle block has horizontal locating groves cut in it so you can change it position up/down on the brace it locks onto.

We we had to bend the 'U' brace open a bit and shifted the plastic block up one more grove, as it had snapped the top one off.

So its working, but has taken all night, both me and dads hands are bruised/cut and my door has a heap of blood on it. Its not 100% but it will do till I can save to get Mitsi to replace the whole lot, I am never playing with that damn thing again.

If you can get us a pic.
I have a stuffed TJII power regulator in the garage - cable is unravelled, however the rest of it is OK.
Post a pic and I think I can get you the bit that you require.
