Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone knows if there is any water hoses or how many whelsh plugs are on the back of the 2.6 motor under the Inlet manifold? I have a small drip coming from that direction and was wondering if it would be a hard problem to track down or just go to a mechinic

There is a few welsh plugs there that are a common source for leaks. IIRC theres about 3-4 (total guess really).

there is a 2 way piped threaded coolant connector
that corrodes on the underside of the inlet manifold @ drivers side
there is a temp sender under the inlet manifold @ passengers side (dissy is in the way )
not hard to fix just anoying
also check the heater hoses/ bypass hose/ thermostat housing /and clamps
if it is welsh plugs at the rear ....the motor has to come out ...to get to them
there are 6 small ones 3 above and 3 below the rear balance shaft
one behind the starter motor
and one covered half by the gearbox housing

make sure if you do replace welsh plugs, the replacements are brass, not steel. the originals are steel and i think that was deliberate as they always rust out where brass ones are there for the life of the motor.
