I started up my car this afternoon... and im not joking it sounded like a 2 stroke bike accelerating.. i was embarresed lol...

the noise went back to my normal exhaust note. after about 200 meters...

could it posibly be a hole in the exhaust pipe... the only thing that turns me off that theary is that it was really load from the engine bay and not the back...

any help would be good

check your exhaust manifolds dude. have you got after market headers or something? could be an exhaust gasket.

check your manifold bolts.

Hmmm, I don't think it would be a leak as such. Driving 200 meters doesn't magically weld up holes in exhaust piping. :P

Did you pop her open and listen to what was making it? Faulty alternators have been known to sound like motorbikes :D

i did have an issue when pulling up... it actually stalled on me... its an auto... its happened once before... but then didnt really do anything about it..

no but if there was just a crack in the manifold it would close up as it got hotter.

Heh, a crack in a manifold doesn't make any noise. A hole in a manifold would. :P

well it turns out the flexi pipe had disconnected itself from the cat pipe.... all fixed now... back to its normal low growl... thnks though for your help.
