View Full Version : Rapid clicking :(

hey guys! replaced all my speakers in my 01 TJ exec last weekend and after finishing i noticed when turning ignition from acc to on there is a rapid clicking noise from engine someware and same right after i turn the car off (after engine has been running) the clicking noise lasts about half a second... any ideas? i hope its not the fuel pump or starter motor and its something simple :( could i have caused this by installing the speakers some how? had the battery connected and disconnected a few times from - terminal left the + terminal attached.. please help, worried! she still starts fine runs fine and then shuts off normally.

Idle speed control servo..... ISC..... if in doubt get someone to turn the key with your ear next to the throttle body..... if it's coming from there it's the ISC....
It's a normal noise... nothing to be worried about... in fact it's a great sign... shows it's still working.....

Ummmm... have you stuck you're head in there to confirm the noise yet???

probably did . . . but his mate STARTED the motor . . . .oooOOOhh :redface:
