Hi all, I am in the process of trying to decide if I want to put a exhaust system on my te. Well I do but have to convince the wife. Basically I want a sports system but not to loud looking for more of a purr when idling and only a bit of a note under acceleration. Definately want to avoid any droning like most ****box lancers have. ANy ideas or other hints would be great.:)

Muffler replacement is cheaper and will go down easier with the wife...

that was my thoughts to. Thinkin probably an offset sports muffler or something along those lines to get a nice lil note but not drone seeing as missus and 2 kiddies. Read through a few posts about redback mufflers but dont know crap bout them or even if can get in adelaide. Once decided it will be done in the true style of a loving husband buy and install first then tell missus after.:badgrin: :badgrin:

I had the full redback sports system installed on my TE 4cyl, had little to no drone and it wasnt loud enough to attract any attention either, no performance gains though revs out a bit better but thats all, plus it wont burn a hole in your pocket!!

Ay man how u doin. wat I can prob suggest ish dat go wif 3-2-1 or 3-1 one of those set up will help wif mid n lil at da start so help wif ya acceleration.

keep da rest of da pipe stock. or if u want go no bigger dan 2 n a half.

if u keep piping stock dan go axel bac n change it 2 lurky twin muffler. had da twin on da whale n it sounded sweet. only loud when u gun it.
