My car was just a victim of a front end attack :(

does anyone know if when your getting your car repaired through your insurance, can you do things like get a KJ grille rather than a standard TJ grill to replace the broken one?

I'd imagine you would have to pay in the extra if its possible.

Cheers,

Gareth.

goto the workshop who is doing the work and ask, i have choice of repairer so i just send it down to my mates shop and get him to dodgy it all. However with my car i cant cos it has to go to a 'luxury' repair shop:doubt:

you dont need to go to "dodgy" repairers. my smash shop NRMA preffered and we do that sort of thing all the time. just ask them what you want to change and insurance will pay the value of replacing the original part and you just pay the difference. they will also have far more contacts when trying to find hard to get things like a second hand KJ verada grille for you (i assume you dont want to pay new price). most shops dont have a problem with this.
