Right well my shocks have bottomed out no travel left in them, has anybody got shortened travel shocks?
Ive cut my bumps and it sank a bit lower now and after consulting my suspension consultantlol he said to just keep going to wreckers ripping shocks out of them coz there no point buying quality shocks when the next week the valves will be shoved through top of them. orrrrr bag the rear, which im not going to do to a TF exec.
I read somewhere monroe make shocks shortened but not for wagon rear which is what im after.
anybody got mates near act that will cut them up for me? or even better a soloution to my problem.( which doesnt invole going any higher.)
cheers

custom made FTW
get the struts chopped up or a shorter strut from another car and get the bits welded on so it fits your car
custom strut tops that are raised up may work too
as airbag places, they fabricate struts, but instead of putting a bag on them your using them with a coil sping
can be done... there was a place here who does them and its engineered if you want it to be too!
in vic somewhere, i forget now lol
Find an Autobarn/ whatever where someone in spares knows how to read a shock catalogue, they can cross reference and maybe find a short shock to suit. Bugger running flogged out shocks, you might as well hold it down with a big rubber band.

i had this issue with superlows in the front of my TH. that is why i have a set or new shocks and low springs sitting in the boot to get installed this weekend.

Yeah most places that install air bag suspention have blanks.
You can take yours in and they weld the fittings from your original suspention to them and make them whatever size you want.
note: call them before you take the struts out because they usually want a heap of measurments and you to mark where your tyres come up to on them.
My new ones are in the shop getting welded up as we speak, They even have 3 settings on the bottom for hardness aswell. (which i think is pointless when i have airbags......)
Dont drive around to long botteming out becuase i did and it kills CV's and i snapped the driveshaft throught the gearbox.

dear barbra.
how much did it cost to get them custom made? i asked one shop that does baggs and they are a no go for the blanks. went to a quialty suspension joint and they told me it would cost a ****load to get em made custom? what prices have people had it done for? wouldnt be more expensive for a wagon i would imagine? although it is a heaps different set-up
