hi guys,
just sat on a toyota aurion today... the ride was firm but yet very comfortable as it too every bump on the road very very well which i feel is so much better than my stock suspension magna... so i was wondering what would i need to change to achieve something like that... never sat in a sports magna before... is the ride on sports/vrx and veradas some thing like that??? after sitting in the toyota, the ride on the magna suddenly feel so noisy and bumpy...

The Verada rides a fair bit smoother due to a softer damper setup, but its downside is it can feel floaty when cornering too fast.

but i understand that the suspension is difference between stock magna and sports/verada/verada??? is it the shock absorbers and the springs that are different or just the springs?? i mean with the aurion, the cornering can be done at around 70-80 with out feeling the "OMG i am going to skid any moment" while my stock magna TL can do the exact same turn at around 40-50... i personally feel its a great deal of a difference... and the luxury of the ride... it feels like sitting in a continental car... quiet and takes the bump without u feeling much... i believe the verada has such standard as well cause i dont think the ride of a verada would be bumpy...

well, there verada suspention wont give you a firm but comfortable ride
verada suspention is about as close to being in a boat in a 3rd gen as you will get......i soon got rid of my standard setup

Just wanted you to see my Sig.
However I reckon that E.S.C. would be a welcome addition on any car, Especially mine.

Not too sure about the exact difference between the Exec and the VR-X, but IMO it doesn't matter. I wouldn't bother going for Sports/VR-X suspension. I'd go straight to aftermarket gear.
I've had King Lows/KYBs on my VR-X for 5 months now, and one thing I've noticed is the initial harshness of hitting a bump (I'm not sure the exact term for it, but dad calls it "tyre thump"). It's very compliant - it's better than stock, and it's better than my dad's VE SS (renowned for having soft suspension). The ride itself is still firm (speedbumps aren't much fun), but it's suprisingly comfortable. Oh yeah, and the difference in handling - be it at grandma speeds or when fanging - is night and day compared to before :)

I believe Pedders do a ComfortRyder range of springs - that might be the go.

if im not mistaken the aurion is a NEW car, the magna is a much lesser car designed what 20 years ago? rember 3rd gen came out in 1996 almost 12 years now, and nothing really changed, well nothing did in the actual design of the suspension from the TE-TW..
new firm shocks springs and bushings and lower profile rubber would give you that firm controlled feeling, my awd was much firmer in ride when stock than the previous th fwd i used to drive..
from all reports the aurion isnt that great of a handler, maybe the ride is firm to have that euro feel? me i prefer the Verada luxo smooth floaty ride for the long trips and the firm ride for the zipping around the local streets ;)

Well, where would we start. These kinds of cars are made for family type of driving. They are nice and soft in behaviour.
Better-than-your-Magna cornering speeds? Tyres perhaps? And lack of stabilisers in your Magna? One would assume the Toyota has improved suspension to our somewhat oldish Magnas.
Low profile tyres result in to harsher road behaviour than high profile.
There are so many reasons for 2 different cars being - well, different. Just improve the Magna suspension with springs, shocks, stabilisers and get soft hight traction tyres and u'll be cornering happily ever after. Gets bit noisy tho.... :D
