Hi,
Had a shock test done yesterday and it seems that I need to get new shocks plus rear springs so I figure I may as well lower the car at the same time.
I've been quoted $1200 & $900 to replace all shock & springs by Pedders & Bridgestone Tyre Centre to fit the same products respectively  I don't want to spend any more than $1000 incl. labour so have been thinking bout the King/KYB combo but I would like to know if this setup will suit a wagon, doing mostly highway driving, with some towing and a lot of heavy loads in the car.
Suspension place seemed to think that rear springs had sagged because of the LPG install, does this sound right or are the just worn out @ 100ks? If it's the LPG can or the weight in the car/trailer should I get heavy duty springs in the rear instead of lowering it?

Shocks should generally be ~$400 for KYB's

Springs ~$200

If you are lucky enough a VIC member here may do it for a carton of beer or something. Id do it for you if you were anywhere near Newcastle...

philcom has kyb kits going atm for 400 for the set of 4 and from memory kings are about 130-150 per pair depending on where you order them from.As for labour shouldnt be more then 250 to get all 4 replaced its a simple job and shouldnt take more then 2-3 hours.

As for the sagging the lpg would make a slight bit of difference with ride height being extra weight but if your old shocks are worn out they tend to sag badly

Yeah, Philcomm has quoted me $645 delivered. Add labour ~$250 plus wheel alignment $55 = $900. That price seems ok but I'd rather get the place that installs them to supply them, that way if they fail for some reason, they're responsible to fix them & doesn't involve me sending shocks back to Adelaide. (I'm not saying that they will fail but I'd rather be on the safe side & be able to take the car somewhere local just on the off chance that they did)
