I'm planning on getting rid of my magna asap due to all the minor problems its been having (very badly maintained in its previous life I'm guessing. not that i'm much better over-filling the oil). But to sell it off i need it to at least appear to be running properly, the major issue is while driving i get sudden loss of power and the revs start bouncing around erratically before clearing up. i find switching off and on the car seems to slow the effects somewhat but its hardly ideal and not something i want happening in a test drive.

It has very rough idling and vibrating at the lights especially with air conditioning, so i assumed the throttle sensor has had it, but with these more recent problems I'm wondering if its something more? the problems seemed to get vastly worse after I'd lost my temper and thrashed the poor thing a bit. But yeah i want to get it fixed when i get a roadworthy for it and I'd like to be able to tell them the problem in advance. Do you guys think its the TPS or do these symptoms suggest something deeper. Any advice on solutions appreciated and I'm not going for long term reliability i just want it to run through a test drive properly.

Sorry buddy, youve come to the wrong forum if you want advice on how to sell a lemon to some other person so they have issues with it.

Maybe in future you should look after your cars.
