Basically my car stunk like burning oil for the last month or so, we traced it to the leaking rocker covers, OK, replaced and the smell is gone, good stuff.

Now when I gun the car from a standstill, about 5000RPM the "TCL OFF" light starts flashing and will not go off. I can turn TCL off with the button and it stays illluminated, however when I turn it back on it just flashes as it was before.

After searching on here the problem was most likely vacuum hoses, which is understandable as we removed the intake and TB etc to do the rear rocker cover, so firstly I took the car to EZBoy's place and he had a look over it and found one in the wrong spot but it was a little hard without any car to reference from.

So I rang a friend of mine with a TJ Sports and I went round to her place and compared the 2 engine bays side by side. I managed to find one more hose that was connected wrong. I spend a good 1/2 hour ****ing with hoses and connectors etc.

I also reset the ECU, all to no avail, the car does run better than before but still not 100% and I still get the flashing if I gun it to higher revs.

The problem goes away when the car is turned off.

Any ideas because it is seriously giving me the ****s.

Thanks.

Played with your wheels/suspension recently? Your individual wheel speed sensors could be incorrectly gapped/damaged/unplugged.

a suggestion

pull apart and clean every electrical connection effected with oil

with degreaser or wd 40 then reconnect

Hmmmm, Myself and BJ31OS got the workshop manuals and tried our best. No matter what we did we couldnt get anything different.

I ended up slamming the bonnet and drivers door as hard as possible and saying **** it.

****ing over it, big time.
