I got a quote for a TJ and KJ grill. $97 and $157 respectfully.

now when i called back a few days later to order it, they want $157 for the TJ and $220 for the KJ.

How much did everyone else pay for theirs? $220 seems a bit steep.....

was this a written quote/emailed?
or just by word?
because if it is written i think you can actually bind terms on that quote.
If it was just over the phone, not sure if you can.

its a print out from thier system, nothing to say that its from mitsubishi though, i dont think i can use that in an argument. i might call another dealer and ask, i get nothing but trouble from Knox Mitsubishi.

well i just rang some mroe dealers and i got prices ranging from $165 - $250.
One of the asked if i want a Ei or Xi one, i didnt know there was a differnce?......

Ei has the colour coded surround. Xi has the chrome surround.

No difference. There are ei with chrome as well, just ask for the chrome one and it should be correct.

The price is correct at $220.00

You are better off trying wreckers who may sell at $120 or so.

Gotta correct you there Nexus, there is a difference. The KJ Ei Series 1 didn't have a chrome surround.

Thats just luck, most of them are quite firm on the price, stupid thing was these are $185 to begin with and they raised the price.

Well i think i've secured one for $165, but i cant order it without a VIN number.

How did everyone else get around this? :)

fair enuff :) i think i was the 1st series 2 owner on here... :confused: and now fantaysia with his S2 AWD, but most seem to be series 1

Somehow, I kind of like the Ei colour coded version, of course with matching colour to the car's body.
