if im thinking correctly the hole mirror sliders down off the windscreen the windscreen has a clip attached to it and you should be able to pick a second hand one up from a wrecker and replace the hole mirror
Edit : TE,TF slide down and TH,TJ slide up from memory hope this helps

Most windscreen places (windscreen obrian etc) have a glue thats pretty good.
They dont usually charge toooo much to stick her back on wile you wait. ($10 or so i think)
The little piece of missin glass shouldnt be too much of a problem.

yea a mate had this happen to him as well there shoudl be a metal part that attaches to the mirror just clean the glass off slide the metal bit out go to a windscreen shop and ask them to glue it back on
lol funny thing about his is that this was in charters towners and it was hot as hell and the glue meltel and it slid down the windscreen lol so he got the next time free and they used more tape

Loctite actually make a repair glue just for factory glued mirrors. Dead cheap and sets in seconds, so you can do it yourself

Yeah any supercheep or car place sells special glue for rear view mirrors.
Also i usually leave the bit of glass on the metal, helps line up exactley where it was before and prevents it from slipping down the window.

pretty much every good service station sells it!!
takes a few min and your off again, i didnt bother to prep mine properly just applied the glue and stuck it back on and its all good (my rear view mirror copped a pounding from the 4 12" subs to the piont that it was not woth looking at at all) so i'd say just do that, you can even do it now servo's are open all night lol

the stuff costs like... 5bucks i think - for a tube that looks tiny, but is waaaaaaaaaay too much for the one mirror you can use it for
(you cant save it and use it later unfortunatly :()
its dead simple to use, just take the mirror off the bit that attaches to the windscreen (as previously said, they come apart) until the glue has had a chance to set - maybe 10mins max.

sorry, but i need to get this thing back on.
i cant slide the metal bit out...its not easy to anchor on anything, as i no longer have my mirror on the windscreen, dont really have time to go to wreckers, and dont really wanna pay money for it unless i have to.
any ideas?

Had this problem when I pried a photochromatic mirror off a TJ.
Wish I could remember exactly how I did it. Needle nose pliers and the top edge of the folded over V part, one plier tip on the bottom of the mirror support and the other on the folded bit, squeeze pliers together, support should start sliding out, then you should be able to go from there...

i had this problem today, the heat made the mirror fall off
i went and bought some 'rear vision mirror glue' from autobarn ($9.99)
to get the metal piece out of the clip i just got a flat head screwdriver and plied it out
now im waiting for the glue to dry
