Back on my L's about 10 months ago, I was Driving into the City with my dad into a cheap parking place, and due to it's cheapness, the spaces were tiny. Anyway, was turning into a spot, had to reverse out to correct it, there was an empty spot next to a wall and it had this stuff on the side:

Thought I was gonna make it, then scrape and crunch onto that metal barrier stuff.

Is this fixable? If so, how? Who do I see/call? Cost? Never had to deal with something like this before, or is the only solution new bumper? It's a TJII exec wagon, btw.

geez you werent mucking around when you did that, just try a smash repairers might able to chuck some bog in and give it a respray, although they may be lazy and jus get a new bumper for it, depending on how big the dent is

Spend the 200 bucks it takes to buy a bumper and get it painted...

should be able to get that fixed for $250-$350 depending on where you get it done.

heat gun, some filler and new paint and she'll be good as new.

hmm... it's not that deep, maybe about 5, 6mm at the deepest points.

If a new bumper is about $200 + painting, might just go for that, since getting it fixed would be around the same. Or I could first try and fix it up myself, and see how that goes, then just get it painted if it turns out alright.

Can I get filler/bog from say, bunnings, or would I have to go to supercheap or some place?

I'd give it a cut and polish first. It obviously won't remove the ding, but if you can remove the scuff, it'd be a lot less noticable.

If it's your dad's TJ, you may as well get it fixed properly if you decide to fix it. Just bite the bullet and let a pro do it.

Front bumpers are only 150ish at full price brand new. There's a mob in Melbourne that do primed, paint -ready refurbs for 100 (they sell on ebay)
