Hi all,
Ive been humming and harring over weather to buy a 380 and ive got the itch again,so im looking once more, but one thing has got me buggered, what is the ride comfort like on the sport model versus the base model, now,i hired a "SX" here in Adelaide for a while and found the ride quiet hard, what is the base model like?,do i just need more time in the sports model to get accustomed to the ride so to speak, anyone with a sports suspension model care to chime in,how do you find it?

the ride is a bit stiffer than what you would expect from most cars in it's class but it's not uncomfortable in any way.
I think it actually helps with the handling allot more due to the fact that you can feel the road and have an idea of what it's doing and how to react to it.
The 380 is a good purchase as far as i'm concerned any complaints anyone has about it are minor.

I came from a KE Verada so I was very wary about a harsher ride. There is no doubt it is firmer but even with the 40 series profile my car is wearing, it's still very comfortable. I carry a small child in the back occassionally as well.
I have been contemplating lowering with Kings Lows but I don't think I will because the ride will probably go below my comfort level.

Yeah I drove an SX in Brisbane for work and it wasn't bad but certainly bumpy. My LS doesn't have the sports suspension but I swear it's only mildly smoother if any. It's a great value car with a comfortable ride. To accurately guage it I would go to a dealer and drive an SX/VRX then a base model to test. I love my 380 :)

I found my VRX had a firm ride when i bought it, but i soon became accustomed to it. It has the feeling that its sitting upon tall springs with firm dampers. So if you pounded the car down a rough road it would never run out of travel. Still i prefer a firm ride than a soft pillowy one. If you want a soft ride that will punch the bumpstops when pressed by a BA Falcon. Remember that a firm ride is the price you pay for handling too...
