Hey guys i installed this head unit last weekend and all is great :D sept it gets a little hot but i think thats from the way ive connected the wires temporarily, anyways my problem is at night when i turn my lights on it doesn't dim! and its as bright as a mofo! does anyone know if this HU has a dimming feature? if not is there a way to force it to dim down a bit? cant find anything about it on the net or on here or even in the manual lol..

Thanks in advance!

Decks usually have an illumination wire and the manual should tell you where to connect it. Also make sure your power wires are not a temp connection or they could short out. My friend's call me anti-solder pvc tape king, but you should probably do it properly  The heat is normal so long as it's not catching fire.

Theres no dimming function on these models (at least not that I found). I've got a 2950MP atm, which is exactly the same except 1 pre-out instead of 2 and red LED's. I don't find mine to be a problem, but then the AE82 doesn't angle the headunit up like Magna's do.

cheers for the quick reply guys ^_^, ahwell i will just put up with it, the only wires it had was ACC, Power and speakers, and a blue one which i think is for remote antenna, getting a soldering iron and stuff soon so will be done properly when i get that atm its just twisted and elecy taped up lol

You should be able to adjust brightness, usually you have to turn the unit off and then hold down the function button. Thats how you adjust your clock etc ( well on the older one anyway ).
