Hey guys just wondering if someone could tell me what the 380 manuals are revving at @ about 100k's in 5th. Looking to buy in the next month but from what I can remember when I test drove one at the motorcade they revv way to high, looking to do quite a few highway kms. Thanks peeps, Cheers.
They do about 2750rpm at 100km/h in 5th for the manual transmission.
This is quite a difference from the 1650rpm@5th (Auto), and I believe the official consumption figures for the manual are higher than the auto for highway usage.
Having said that, the TJ 3.5 V6 manuals do about 2400rpm@100km/h in 5th, and the TS 30V6 manual does 2550rpm@100km/h in 5th.
What MMAL really needs to do is bring out a 6-speed manual. Even if they keep the 1st to 5th ratios the same, but add a long-legged overdrive 6th. Wouldn't that be on most of our wishlists.
