ok guys i tried searching and all i found was dead threads but none of them answered my question
i drove my magna to work on thursday and that night she would not start
turned over fine but no start
so i checked the plugs for spark....none
checked the coil for spark....none
now i have been told that it's either going to be the coil...ecu or the ecu relay
car has no fuses blown in it anywhere
i trial fitted a spare coil and still no spark
now question
where is my ecu relay and what is it marked as because i'll be buggered if i can find it
also where is my ecu

I dont know where the relay for the coil is.

ECU is underneath and to the left of the glovebox against the side.

Check for leaking caps. If dead should be a bad smell too.

HE HAD NO SPARK SO HOW THE HELL CAN THE FUEL PUMP CAUSE THIS?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????

The relay us under the glove box, on the underside of the dash. When you hit the ignition you should hear a click.

The ECU can be the cause, it often is as the capacitor leaks and then all over. Depending on how bad it has gone, you may smell nothing at all.

best test, get a noid light, unplug an injector and see if you get a pulse on crank. If you do not can be the dist or the ecu. You may still get spark with an ignition module or coil dead as the dist sends the signal to the ecu and then the ecu sends to the coil and injectors.

Did not look at your profile, are you in Vic, if so there are plenty of ECU's avail down here.

thanks guys will sus it out in the next couple of days
yeah i'm in vic but i figure it's gotta be something to do with the ECU as i tried another coil and still had no spark AT THE COIL
will check the relay and if worst case will replace the ECU
haven't had a bad smell in the car though

I meant when you crack open the ecu.

Good luck.
