Just a thort but you can get a 7" monitor that clips onto the sunvisor pretty cheap off ebay.
You can also get one that is a sunvisor, you just swap em :)
Might be an alternative :D

Instead of putting it into your sun visor mount it in your dash.
You can also get ones that mount into head rests, they would be good for what you need.

You're going to have to fiberglass it in to something, get out somewhere in your dash and make a mould and go from there.
There are moniters you can buy that come with a bracket/stand that you can drill in to your dash, but imo they look tacky.

No professional would help you because it would be totally illegal.
Have you ever considered the safety of your passengers? The dash is padded for a reason.
It would probably be illegal even in the centre console, not because of injury concerns but because the driver could see it while driving.
I'm not sure how that applies to factory GPS systems that are sometimes mounted in the cente console. They must be just as big a distraction.

the screen must not have moving video if it is within the drivers sight.

A quick search found this for Victoria. I'm fairly sure the rules in other states would be similar.
Rule 299 of Victoria's road rules states that it is an offence to drive a motor vehicle with a "TV receiver or visual display unit" if the screen is visible to the driver of the car or "is likely to distract another driver". In-car navigation systems are exempt.

as said above its only illegal if its turned on while moving, hence why they have the handbrake cables that stop it from doing so when the brake is released. so in short, youre wrong

but in say that it's illegal okay how to show car with audio visual get away with it and yes hence the handbrake wire the back screen's can be going all the time not the front tho ..... and as for the dash thats a bit of a distance in a crash to hit ya head on one ......i don't wanna strart a fite on here just trying to find the fact's

Id get a jigsaw and just cut a hole then you could probably get a nice shroud to make it look nice.
and as for the dash thats a bit of a distance in a crash to hit ya head on one
Im sure the seatbelt lock would stop you before you made contact with the dash too.
Hey red wagon you've got the same interior as me right down to the car mats! lol! minus the stereo unit I've got a Clarion DB166 I think it is!
I think I've gotta earthing issue with my stereo! It starts distorting after a certain volume and the speakers are pretty new installed late last year!
