Seen two brand new 2.5inch High Flow Magna Flow Cats on Ebay.

3 questions..

1: Will this fit on my TJ Magna Stock Exhaust system?

2: Is there any point in me doing this

3: Its $400 for two of them. If the above answers are yes, does anybody want to go halfs with me and get one each???

1. No reasons why it shouldn't.
2. Better flow. factory cats are very restrictive
3. No. Got a Genie stainless steel 2.5" high flow cat already.

I am not sure but you might need two you know. My exhaust has two factory cats.

You sure about that? Having two cats means that you have a dual exhaust
system and I don't think the AWD's had enough room for a dual exhaust
system. You might be thinking of the resonators which immediately follow
the cat.

I agree. I really doubt there is two cats on the AWD. Two resonators sounds more like it... Even if it was dual exhaust i bet it would split past the cat, not before

no bloody idea, but i know Holden Advanturers have dual CAT, dual exhaust set up with balance pipe after the Cats, before the resonators.

How much change would there be going with hi flo CAT? is it noticable?

in the end, it's just a few Horses. and $ to Hp ratio is quite high.

If your car is stock or mildly tuned, I doubt you're even going to notice having a high flow cat.

Someone on here has said before that the factory cat is rated up to 300hp or something?

You could always slam a metal pipe through it.. and smash out the mettal thingys out...

Std orig Magna Cat is below 200 bux. Allegedly it is sufficient and isn't restrictive. And you can bolt it on your self without welding... saves you money there as well.
Smashing one's guts would be good for an EPA pollution check.... not. :o

I am not sure if they are both cats but they are on the one pipe line straight from teh standard extractors through the flex pipes then two "look like" small cats then up and over the rear driveshaft and past teh split fueltanks and then to teh sports muffler. I BET that it is exactly the same setup as all the other TJs.

and you could always fail the EPA pollution test and get fined upto $25,000 for having no cat......

Yes the one straight after the flex pipe is your cat. conv. The next one along is a resonator. And yes, it sounds very similar to my TJ Sports setup

Glad we got that sorted! 8)
