morning folk. I know no-one cares about xmas so i expect prompt replies.

My problem is that when say, coming off a highway, foot off gas and casually shifting down and then say, accel to stay at 60 or even 80 or stop and take off again the bloody magna has a miss or 3 and sometimes will act up until 3 grand when it comes good and takes off on you. Real pain in the ass, there's no stalling though. Recently replaced plugs, fuel filter and leads are less than 6 months old. Idea's? I have to drive 900 kay, home again and it's really annoying. Made it to Mudgee from brisbane with only this hassle.

silly question, but are you using E10 / ethanol blended fuel, or straight up unleaded?

reason i ask is because i had a mate who a TR Maggy - and it would do the same thing is you are describing.

he changed EVERYTHING but the fuel pump last - which solved the issue.
literally when from running like a dream to a nightmare with one full tank of E10

something to consider maybe?

Dissy caps are common for the older v6s. You may want to try that as said before.

If you take the cap off you can sometimes see little holes inside the cap where its been arcing.

I replaced my leads with new ones from Mitsubishi . . . cost an arm & a leg . . in less than 6 months the car was missing on acceleration. Cause: one lead was arcing under load.

Worth checking . .
