hi all.
what i was looking at doing is creating a sub and an amp enclosure in my boot out of mdf, but what i wanted to do was, rather than paint it, is cover it in carpet to match the boot lining.

(im in sydney, nsw) and i was wondering where i could purchase stick on carpet (that stuff that comes pre prepared with a sticky lining on it) im not exactly sure how to describe it. or the other option is somewhere i can purchase normal boot lining carpet, and some sort of adhesive for it

please help me

i am new and quite green to this whole mod thing. hehe

thanks.

you should be able to buy it from audio shops
or auto trimmers or clark rubber or spotlight
i dont think they come with glue on them so your going to have to buy spray on adhesive from spotlight

Supercheap also sell a multi-purpose adhesive. It's Septone brand and comes in an aerosol can. I used it to attach my speaker carpet to my amp mounts/sub box and it works a treat.

I used speaker carpet from Autobarn. $40 for a 2 x 1 metre piece  It's black and is a similar (but not perfect) match to the original boot carpet. Having said that though, I basically had nowhere else to buy my stuff from (no Spotlight, Bunnings didn't open for another few months) - being in Sydney you should have the luxury of being able to find somewhere cheaper.
