Just wondering what trinkets the Xi has over the GTV, the only thing i can think of is sunroof?

reason for asking is my current 98 JDM Diamante has been having fuel consumption/black smoke problems that no one has been able to fix (3 places now). car is paid off and not sure whether to go into debt again to upgrade or try one more time to fix... i've found an 04 Magna/Diamante GTV, white with black leather and 67k for $14g that is quite tempting so just wondering how it compares with the Xi goodies wise

i *think* the only difference was the quality of the leather that went into the Xi Vs Gtv.
the gtv had better quality i think

afaik (well thats not much, i didnt know what a KW looked like! :nuts: :redface: ) thats about the only difference.
Xi could be optioned with sunroof when ordered couldnt they/

I think the TL GTVi came with the VRX engine (163kw), Sports exhaust, 17 inch wheels and sports suspension. The KW GTVi came with AWD only. Hope this helps!!:)

that article looks like its more relavent to the TJII...
as the pictures have KJ radas in them - and the article is dated 22 July 2002 - isnt that before TL / KL range release?

Yep you're right.. forgot to mention that article was referring to TJs :redface: but i thought it might have helped spot the difference :D

I think what Blue Lightning is saying sums up the main differences though. I'm also GUESSING the GTV would have less power steering assist than the Xi, similar to the VRX. IMO i find this a bit annoying in car parks etc but it's absolutely perfect for the twisties :D

Ive seen that car. Its a piece of crap. sorry but it is

Xi: Electronic fuel and boot lid release/switches.
All other Veradas and Magnas have electric/mechanic fuel and boot lid release/switches

Xi: Sunroof standard.

GTV/GTVi/GTVi AWD: Standard engine but has VRX exhaust (AWD has exhaust running
under rear axel so is straighter then others which runs over the axel)
Xi/Ei: 155kW
GTV/GTVi: 163kW
GTVi AWD: 159kW (due to rear bank exhaut manifold having a very convoluted path)

Ei/Xi: Soft suspension
GTV/GTVi/GTVi AWD: Same height but firmer suspension setup (same as VRX)

GTV/GTVi: 17" wheels
GTVi AWD/Ei/Xi: 16" wheels

Xi: power passenger seats
All other TW Veradas only have power driver seat

All TWs have remote audio control on steering wheel. For previous models, only the Xi had
them

All TW Veradas come with same audio system.
Pre TW, Xi had better ones than other Veradas.
All TW audio are double the power of pre TW

Xi: Plush leather interior
GTV/GTVi/GTVi AWD: performated black leather
Ei: Velour interior

Etc etc...
