I have added a VRX front bar and 18" ANZ Ghost Wheels. Still need to install fog lights and then I am pretty much done working this car over as much as I want to.

What do yas think so far?

looks awesome mate
rims look killer on the car
is tinting on the cards? i reckon some nice dark tinting would really finish it off :D
aswell as some debadging
has it been lowered?

Actually I hadn't thought of tinting, agree it would look nice but I'd have to get that one by my wife first. She has been amazing letting me get all of this done to it.

Yes it has been lowered on King springs. It sat really low on the old 16"s and the front bar made it look right down to the ground.

Cost me $400 for the bar and another $450 fitted, painted and the panel shop installed a different mesh other than the standard chicken wire vrx mesh.

I got incredibly lucky. I wasn't really planning on getting one until I saw a black vrx sitting low on 19" Drift-R rims in a car park. I parked my car right next to it and studied them side by side and thought bloody heck I gotta get me the front bar.

Went home rang Mitsu and they said $1500 primed with lights, grille, mesh. I then rang a place in Clayton/Oakleigh(Vic) and they were asking $800 for the front bar primed but no lights, mesh or grille.

So i jumped on ebay and typed in VRX body kit and would you freakin believe it one match came up and it was for a TL. He was selling the whole kit for $800 but was prepared to divide the parts. I asked how much for the front bar, light inserts, grille (no lights or mesh, he didn't have them) and he said $400. I said 'done'. He gave me his mobile to arrange delivery and we talked for about half an hour, and in that time he decided to throw in the side skirts and extra light inserts and nose grille for free!!!

The parts were raw plastic and the panel joint had to prime them before painting so it took and extra day or two to do. The guy had bought a number of kits from the factory that made them and sells them as he feels. He also has kits and parts for lots of other cars eg Fords, Holden etc. Said he invested in a heap of Nissan Maxima stuff but is gonna have to turf it because the type of person who buys a Maxima is really looking to mod their car.

Some of you may be thinking why didn't you just get the whole kit??? Yeah well, maybe I should have but i really like the way the car looks with the ES skirts and rear. I still have the vrx sides though but if i put them on i would have to get the rear bar. At the time I was really thinking of getting wheels and this was going to be an additional and unplanned cost so i was happy to compromise with my wife to get the look i wanted without getting too greedy.

Anyway, very lucky and very happy :D A pre Christmas miracle!!!

nice rims!
dark tint would complete the allready hot package for sure.

tell the Missus that dark tint will reduce fuel bills from the aircon being on all the time, coz it wont be working its guts out to maintain temps!
that should help get her to say yes to another spending request!

lol I wish Dods mate, my wife loves the heat, normally she tries to secretly turn the aircon off when I aint looking.

Cheers Piv, they are a very different looking wheel on the car, because of the machined spokes and the more subtle black spokes that are hard to see in pics, when the car is moving it gives a darkish metalic shiney look.

damn thats gotta suck!
i only turn the ac on when i need it - tint works well to keep me cool, but bf ALWAYS wants it on and set to 22degrees!

why dont Veradas (at least - sorry magna bois and girls) come with a DUAL ZONE climate controll?
that would solve your issue at least!

Because its the most useful feature. Eventually the two zones will mix and the whole cabin will become one temperature. Stupid and pointless.

Car looks mint btw Saab-33!

Man that looks hot as. Window tint will cost less than your bar and all that.

Prolly 350-400 for good tinting. Window tint is great especially seeing as it's summer.

Helps out the aircon by not letting so much hot air in.
Great for added security, privacy.
Looks great, etc.

Keep up the good work.

can usually get 35% tint for around $250 with warranty easily if you know the right places :) definitely worth it over the stock dyed windows, even if its just for the security purposes (stop ppl seeing in at night)
