Does anyone know what the extra 2 functions are that 10 function trip computer jhas over the 8 function one? I assume one is clock. Since replacing the original head unit on my TJ Advance 2002 (did not have MP3 connection point) I am missing the clock function which was on the old radio. On aftermarket HU I am always having to press the button to display time.

odo/trip/speed average(over trip)/speed avg (instantaneous)fuel total/fuel avg/Range/Total Trip Time/Total Trip Mileage/speed alarm/

Mines the 10 function, and thats the 10 functions :P (not in order) clock is above the climate control unit in the console

does the TJ have a rest reminder in it?
(annoying 2hour thing - it beeps at you until you a) dissable the feature completely b) stop and put the car into park / turn the engine off)

i think its a good idea, and if more ppl listened to the coffee cup then there would be less crashes, but i digress. When i drive to the in laws (2.5 hr) i just turn it up from 2 to 3 hrs. I was caught out once and i pulled over, got out had a stretch, it was a good idea.

as a side note, can you reset the fuel economy meter on the TJ series 1? i know you can on the series 2 where the display is in the dash but mine is in the bit above the vents.

On my KJ S1 I just go to the Total Time part and hold down both the up/down button and it resets to 0:00, also resetting the Fuel data aswell.

yeah - lights up in an orangish sorta colour, its kinda cute.

and the TC beeps at you as well every 5mins or so - until you stop and turn car off.

i turned mine off before i even owned the car! LOL

cool feature in theory yes - but i would have taken a LOT more time to get home on boxing day if i day mine turned on - 12 n a half hour drive back to the coast from mackay - i would have stopped at least 6times!

Maybe part of safety upgrades with the KL? Side airbags, rest stop reminder, etc. Something along those lines?

Would the 10-function trip computer be the one that became integrated with the odo from the TJII onwards?
