hi guys, just got my 380 like for a week and found that when it is driven over little humps/uneven roads at 30-60 there is a sound coming out from the front. it sounds like something is loose, it affects the steering by a little bit.. sounds like damaged shocks but it doesnt seem so with the ride being very firm and comfy... the sound is horrible another way to describe it would be it sounds like the wheels are loose... anyone has the same problem...

what suspension setup do you have?

is the car still under warrenty of any description?

if your unsure about it - and only had the car for a week, it might still have a warrenty on it of some sort - unless you brought it private?

i would be suspension might be your issue - but remember steering and suspension are linked together and work together obviously.

If it's a little clunky... nothing out of the ordinary there... unless the car has heaps of K's under it.... magna's are known for this too....
usually a bit of spring noise... Mitso put some nylon spi-wrap around the springs from factory to help the clunkyness... if you have lowered suspension it makes it worse if you go cheap... that's why it's always a great idea to buy excellent quality springs... stay away from stuff like pedders etc.... kings I've heard are great....

apart from other ways to check... you can do a tire pressure check... reduce the pressure in your tyres to the recommended pressure.. (About 30-32psi) unless you're already there....if it helps the noise then it's a case of get used to it.... it's a common thing... if you're really worried.. get a mitso dealership to have a quick sqizz next service......

If it's really noisy it could be a stack of things... (depending on k's) worn bushes, wheel bearings (Unlikely) worn shocks....
Also the rubber pads on both top and bottom of the front springs my be mis-aligned and/or worn through..

Whatever...... get a misto dealer to check it out... they know the cars well.

Check swaybar link bushes, and check struts for leaks.

Most common fault for clunk in the front of magnas is the strut top plate bearings, which if it is the case.. nothing dangerous at all.

thats the problem you have heard but havent found out for yourself!

kings arent great they are cheap crap.... no defence to pedders either, but i have ran both springs on several cars and the pedders sportsryder in all cases were better than kings

good springs come from neither company though

Springs are springs.... its not the brand you should be worried about, its the spring rates.

I suppose... Though you are right... I'm going off here say,
I should know better than go from others have said...

Though from what I've seen with pedders.. they require a fair amount of "coil wrap" after that they are much, much quieter.... The upper coils are very close together when "unweighted" after you run them in the car you can see where the powder coating has worn away... this is where you put the coil wrap....cos' that's where the noise comes from..
The clunkyness I mean..

getting them booked in asap... it just feels like something is loose... the sound is only when one wheel is on a bump while another isnt...
