Hey guys Throttlebody Position Sensor, has a massive crack in it, so ive bought a new one (that was an expensive exercise) but i figure if im gonna pull it apart my as well spend a little more do a bit more work, and get an upgrade as well :)

im not sure where im spose to be looking for the amount of vacume tubes ontop of the unit, some1 able to show me a pic with it circled?

Use the search function dude and you will soon find more info than you need.

Email RPW and find out if they have a trade in TB for you. Upgraded and fitted and would have probably got you a cheaper position sensor.

Quote was one week on the outside delivery.

Vacuum hoses on TB are on the top of the TB. Small 8 mm rubber hoses. There are 3 approx 5-10 mm long "pipes" coming off the TB and that's where u either have the hoses connected or not. Cruise should have one hose in P connector. A and E might be vacant. Dunno - depends on car of course. This is the way on my 3 L Cruise.
Hope this helps.

ok I also have 98 Altera with cruise so would probably be same as yours, the tps is on the side of the t/b facing directly at you when you are in front of the car, it has several wires coming out if it.

Im pretty sure there are no TB upgrade options for those who have cruise control. If your going to be working on your TB then you might as well pull it out and give it a clean. Youd be surprised how filty it can get with all the oil vapour...

ewwww dude :D

I had my t/b bored out with the cruise as there were no exchange ones available with c/c, did not cost any extra just meant they needed the car for a few hours.
by the way if you need a pic there is one posted by booya in the tech torque section, on a throttle body qn on tues just past ;)
