:D i finally got down to supercheap 2day and got me a 15cm green neon that pulses with the music...

i found a thread on here about hooking it up to your boot light... and every1 was like " + and - which is which blah blah blah" so i just went out and put it on... and PRESTO it worked....

i also bought a $5 switch so i can turn it off whilst the boot is open if i wish... i mounted the switch on the side of the boot through the carpet... not bad for 25 buks and 30min's work if i do say so myself... i have taken some pics to show u guys but cant find my camera cable but ill go have a look 4 it and post them soon as possible :D :D :D

oh i am planing to upgrade to bigger neons now that i no its all working

hmmm ive found my camera cable but all my photos are tooooo big to upload... and when i try to insert a photo to only allows my to enter a web address.... proberly a stupid question but how do i put photos up??? :redface:

Use it to resize the pics or resize them in Paint or something before you upload them.

i no its small but didnt wanna risk buying a big expensive one just to screw it up...
but now i no i wired it right im gunna go out (hopefully 2moro) and get one that will run the full lengh of my sub box... hopefully it'll look good.... do u think i should hide it behind my box so the light comes up from the back.. lighting up the boot or on the top of my box just above my amp??

cheers mate... yeah well thats my it til 2moro...(hopefully) ill be getting a longer neon... however i do like the pulse effect but at supercheap 2day i coundnt find any longer 1's i think ill try autobarn...

i no this is off the topic... but can any of u guys recommened a good amp around 300-350 give of take (only need to power one sub so monpblock is fine)

my other neon idea is to cut the mistubishi logo out of the carpet and the ply wood i have under to keep carpet flat (stop it from sinking in spare tyre hole) and placing neons around the cut out so a glow(not sure what colour yet) will come out... and to stop stuff from falling down into the spare tyre hole ill get some perspex cut to size and place under cut out... it seems okay in my head but thought id get som other opinions.. wat u guys think??

The JVC KS-AX5801 would propbably be able to do the job for you, it depends how much power you really need? That unit is 400w RMS & RRP$329, you should be able to find it at Wow Sight & Sound.

As to your neon idea, I think it's a great idea.. I think when you get a bit more creative with neons, it can looks quite cool, when you just stick them anywhere in your boot it's just.. 'meh'..

yeah that amp looks great for wat i need it for...

with the mistubishi logo neon idea i am planning on doing it but thought id cover the edge of the logo with some sort of aluminum stripping and using red neons so it looks like the actual mistubishi logo on my car...
