Hello people,

I'm new to this forum so I would just like to introduce myself as Ben. I drive a 97 Magna 3.0 V6 Auto TF. I've been really pleased with it so far, great value for money and pretty good on fuel and performance too. The problem I'm having as that when you put the A/c on it'll work for about 5 minutes and the air is cold but then it just stops and the light flashes. Switch off and back on again and it'll work again for 5 minutes. Evenatually it will stay on. It can happen at any time but seems to happen more under acceleration. I reckon it's electrical as the air is cold. I like to try and find the problem before I take it to the mechanics. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Lenny

hi ben20vt, welcome to the club.
the light that flashes, indicates that the air cpn compressor is on its way out

Thnaks for your reply. I've got news that a slip sensor change may be an alternative. We'll have to see.

could be an indication that it is low on gas. Get it checked before you go replacing compressors.

BTW, welcome to the club!
