does anyone know the max boost the 6g74 can handle on stock cams. RPW fitting in mid january is the E8, injector and fuel system upgrade plus forged pistons at about 9:1 CR but on only 7-8 psi. This will supposedly allow something like 300kw+ at the flywheel quite safely.

I think the next pulley size down for the s/c spins out to 10psi, but not sure if stock cams and valve gear are sufficient. It's only 2-3psi more after all. I'll worry about the tranny when it carks it. Gently feed in 500 - 600nM of torque and see what happens.

I don't think the cams will be the first limiting factor buddy, so i wouldnt worry too much for the moment. I think fuelling will come into play alot sooner.

If anything you should maybe have considered a lower static compression ratio, and feed more boost in bit by bit. Maybe mid to high 8's.

10psi and well tuned doesn't need low compression, and if your fitting forged pistons dont go too low, you will loose more power than you think you will gain

stock compression works well, Jase had good results and the ralliarts have higher comp than normal magnas

the last thing you need in an awd is for it to be a bit sluggish down low

cams are fine, maybe do as the others did and have a lil bit of porting done to the heads...

you can get shift kits for the trans i have found out.... you seriously need one when your making decent power, also a higher stall converter will really help off the line and down low (i was going to get my stock one modified, it's not expensive and still keeps factory lock up for cruising)
