Hi Guys,

Just looking for a bit of advice on what to do with my 94 Verada v6 ei.

I'm looking out for a 2002 Verada GTV & when I find one I'll be selling the 94 Verada. Problem is, it's got a few problems and I'm not sure what to do with it.

There are a couple of dents - one on the drivers door where a roo hit it (this one's kinked the metal) and a couple around the car where a couple of drunks decided to kick it (these aren't big but you can see them). Also, one of the CV joints has just failed, the tyres are shot and the cruise control has packed up.

Other than that, the mechanicals are good - it's got 182,000 on it - and the interior is in decent shape.

Question is, what's it worth as it is and would it be worth spending the money to fix the CV joint and replace the tyres? Alternatively I guess I could scrap it...

If I can get $1000 I reckon I'd be happy.

Any advice you can give would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Sondar

you should be able to sell it off for about $1000 with no rego and as it is.

fixing the CV should cost you less than $150, if you wanted to look into it

maybe chuck it on trading post or ebay or something. it should move quickly at a cheap price.

Which other panels are dented, and what colour is it? If it's a common colour, and the panels are removable, should be able to find cheap replacements from a wrecker. Would definitely be an option for the door.

sell for the $1000

or get 2nd hand tyres and a cv from a wrecker to get a safety
what else is needed for it to pass a safety

paint and panel wont matter for a daily

id be thinking it'd be worth more than a grand.

182,000k's and as an example my bro's has nearly cracked 400,000... i'd put 2.5K on it and see how it goes.

Yeh im with gotrice, put at least $2500 cos its a verada, spend a little bit on it and it should repay you some money... Wrecker could get you even a second hand cv, second door, road worthy tyres and then maby leave the cruise, but good luck either way.

Thanks guys.

I've found a new (or I guess maybe recon) driveshaft for $130 so I'll fit that & try for the roadworthy. I'd like to shift it quickly so I'll probably put it up for $1,750.

I'd say $2000 Ono just so you got some to drop... even down to $1500, still more than the grand and they think there getting a bargain!! still a good buy for $1500 being verada V6
