Does anyone know if or where I can buy the factory fitted style roof rails for a 3rd gen Wagon? Or if only at the wreckers how do you fix them to the roof (i assume its a pro job or a few drill holes in the roof)
also check this sweet edition wagon out http://www.autoweb.com.au/static/images/articles/i532/53229_4mg.jpg
Cheers

That photo is of the original protoyype Sports Wagon shown at the Melbourne Motor Show in 2002. I have still have the small handout one page brochure I picked up there, I also recall filling in a slip where Mitsu were asking 'if the car were available, would you buy it?'. They got overwhelming 'yes' from enough people that it spurred them to male it a prod model. it's just that the grille didn't make it or the (ROH??) wheels.

That's a sweet wagon!
Back to the roof racks - I got removable ones, from Rak (http://www.roof-racks.com.au/).
You can get an extra set of brackets (for $30 or so) and use them on Magna sedans too. Can't do that with Aunger/Rhino/Thule etc.

those rails, come standard dont they? think ya need to buy the cross over bits to use them as roof racks though, i beleive they just bolt onto the roof rails.
i was going to chase em up sooner or later.
the rails came factory standard on my 2nd gen TS SE wagon and yeah you do need to buy the crossover bars to use them.
