hey all,
I've got a small amount of knowledge when it comes to audio stuff, but not much...

I'm running an Eclipse AVN6610 (http://www.eclipse-web.com/avn/avn6610audiovisual.html) through the stock tweeters and some 6.5"s Kenwoods (http://www.kenwoodaudio.com/Australia/prodDetails.asp?Cat=Car%20Entertainment&SubCat=Speakers&Model=KFC-1660S) in the front and some 6x9 Kenwoods (http://www.kenwoodaudio.com/Australia/prodDetails.asp?Cat=Car%20Entertainment&SubCat=Speakers&Model=KFC-M6935A) in the rear. I think these speakers are a lot better than the stock ones, but I'm open to correction.

the sound is pretty good, and it doesn't distort until it's too loud to listen to anyway, so I'm happy (ATM) without an amp (or sub!).

I just need some help with sound deadening and rattles... the driver's side door is horrible and rattles with even the smallest hint of bass.

I guess I need to pull apart the whole door and find what's loose, right?

cheers,
.wook

yeah, I figured I'd have to throw some weight into the doors (but it makes the car go slower!!!) to stop the noise.

any common culprits for major rattles in the doors?

cheers,

manual winders are #1 annoyance.

also door lock mechanism, loose wiring harness inside the door, and any places where the door skin is touching the the door itself, with no passing between. if the screws are loose on the speaker grill than this may rattle also.

i hear power window mech's rattle badly too, but havent had experience so i couldnt confirm that.
