hi i'm from n.z and have an 04 diamante vr-x, as you may know we have alot of farms over here with cow and sheep sh@t all over our country roads. When i bought my car new asked dealer to install mud flaps. They said couldn't be done as none were available because of the body kit. Last week I found some standard tl-tw model mud flaps cheap($5) so bought them to see how they fitted. Front only but by not using the existing holes and drilling new ones they mold perfectly to the side skirts. Yah! for me no more cow sh@t splatered up the side of the car, just got to work out the back option now.

Can you please post some pics of the front mudflaps fitted?

I asked the dealer to fit mudflaps all around on my '04 TL VRX, but they said they could only fit the standard factory flaps to the rear. My car needs them to minimise stone chips from gravel roads.

thats kinda odd that they couldnt fit them to the front  is it lowered? couldve been a ground clearance issue. took mine off the KJ straight after lowering, scraping them was a bitch! still have rears on for protection

My VRX sits at the stock ride height. I think that the side skirt may push the front mudflaps further into the wheel well than on the skirtless models, so it may have clearance issues - however, as I haven't actually compared this with measurements, this is just a theory.

Yes, the side skirt does act as a small mudflat, but is does get a blasting from road grit and stones.
