I was just wondering if the 5 speed trippy from Tjs etc would fit right into a th with minimal work needed... like would it need a ecu replacement or does the gearbox have that all inside.. and also would it need an engineers cert do you think?

i don't think anyones done it

i have a 5 speed box sitting around if you want to buy it and try lol

wrt the second part of your question, most states aren't too concerned with drive train changes (i.e. auto to manual) so I would think that just swapping auto 'boxes wouldn't require certification.

with that said, it's probably worth a call to your relevant traffic/roads authority.
