You don't need a capacitor.

You don't need a capacitor.
:stoopid:

right so system will be:
*cheap HU with lousy SQ
*sorta ok pioneer splits, but with no amp...
*2x cheapass kenwood 400W RMS 12" subs
*2x cheap pioneer 250W RMS mono amps
*1x 1000W pioneer 12" sub
*1x 1000W (probably response) mono amp

first off, HU will be the weakpoint... u should be spending more on that, going for atleast a JVC model, otherwise it all isnt worth it.

2nd, amp the splits... atleast get a response 4chan for the cabin speakers

3rd, sell the kenwood subs, dont go even bothering to get another mono to power those POS subs

4th, do more research...

signat are porn.

as for the proposed audio setup. forget running 2 different types of subs. it will sound like ass, cost you more money, take up more room, weigh down your car more, and likely end up quieter than having 1 decent sub in the first place.

if you are keen on that pioneer sub then get that and a new monoblock, and sell the poo kenwoods and that baby pioneer monoblock.

as for your plan on getting another pioneer mono so the kenwoods can run one each, the problem with this proposal is that you will be running each individual amp at 4ohm each instead of 2ohm, which will pretty much result in the same audible power as you would get from running the single amp at 2ohm. an expensive and pointless exercise.

keep whatever speakers are in the back of the car for now, and put all of your speaker budget towards a quality set of front 6" splits for now. while you would be quite satisfied with a substantial part of the market available in your price range, try to get to some stores and listen to some speakers they have setup, take a cd with you that you are familiar with, and use that to test every pair.

purchase the pair you like best.

I don't think the touch screen on that will let you control the laptop, only the internal DVD player. You need to get a different screen if you want to use it to control your laptop.

ok guys i think i wont be doing this then...
i might save more and go all out :D
seems like the way to go...
so go with focal and alpine h/u ????

with the head unit (touch screen) that was just showing what i want but not that 1,
ill go with a known brand name 1 but i like the double din types and that was the 1st example i found

thanks for the advice guys ill shall do more reseach b4 i post my new plans sorry for the stupid ideas... wat was i thinking  :gtfo:
so i shall be saving, researching and going all out with high quality gear...

thanks again for the advice.. saved me buying $*** gear then finding out how C**p it is and having to go and buy all again THAT WOULD HAVE SUCKED!!!!

EDIT: okay ive done more research and asked some mates and i have come up with this-

SUBWOOFER-
SWX-1243D
Type-X 12" (30cm) Subwoofer
http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=326
i can pick one up for around 450-500 buks off ebay lol

SPLITS-
SPR-17S
Type-R 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speaker
http://www.alpine.com.au/products/product.asp?modelID=314

AMPLIFIER-
I DONT KNOW... Examples Please
i want to amp the sub and the splits...

they are my main priorities... my current kenwood headunit
will do for now unitil i get a double din screen and eventually
i will replace my rear kenwood 6"9"s... again can some1 give me ideas
of what i should put back there... and tell me if i have left anything out...
sorry for all the questions but i no jack$**t about what gear is good and what is $**t
mostly because every1 tells me different things... i no it altimatly comes down to me and what i like... is that set up any good.. let me no.
sorry for all the NOOB questions :o

im thinking of these for the rear
SPR-17C
Type-R 6-1/2" (16.5cm) Coaxial 2-Way Speaker

dont worry about the rear 6x9s... they dont count with a sub anyway, just fade forwards to good quality splits.

how about we do it this way... rather than u picking models etc, give us a budget, and tell us what its for ie $XXXX for splits, sub, and amps for both. Can ya please do that, we might find better stuff for ur money :) ($500 subs is a bigass category ;) )

very good advice. remember at high levels, you really only hear the response from the front stage and the rear stage is simply "rear fill".

as for bass, some good calls there too. you should feel it, hear it, but not be able to tell exactly where it's coming from.

On occasion check out www.graysonline.com.au a commercial auctioneer. Recently Stothers Car Audio went into liquidation and there was some pretty sweet Alpine and JVC deals to be had. Only prob, this was a pickup auction in Melb which is hard from where I am - which is where the AMC courier/help system would have come in handy!

fair enough. i guess it comes down to personal experience and your research. i've been happy with what i've purchased through them and not had any dramas. can't speak for anyone else though.

You need to allow cash for wiring/installation, sound deadening aswell.

if your looking at going type x keep in mind they are pretty picky when it comes to boxes no point putting it in a premade sealed box it will make it doughy. A proper tuned ported box is the way to go and i would strongly advise budgeting it in, otherwise your wasting your time

It looks like a decent JB Hifi system to me. 2x25A fuses don't mean much. My SRx2s has a single 30Amp blade and it makes over 600WRMS. :D

An amp for the speakers later on will do you the world of good. Its a solid base though.
