i've busted my in dash 6 stacker CD player. i go to eject and it makes some noise and spits the dummy and wont let me eject any CD or play them.

Any suggestions on how to get them out?

The indash 4 stacker in a mates GTV stuffed up and we put another disk in it and it started working again. Seems to defy logic but it worked. We got rid of it not long after...

Does it at least let you change disk?

Dude thats gotta suck. I think you might have to take it out. It probably has some dirt or something in one of the gears. May need a good blow :bowrofl: If you take it out and undo the screws you will be able to get into it and have a look. Doesnt take much...

Is the car still under warranty? Might be worth contacting a trusted dealer.

the ralliart's eclipse CD stacker im assuming?

common problem........ well im not sure how common exactly but its a 'known of' problem..

im guessing it wouldnt be under warranty anymore or you'd just take it to mitsu..

when i was workin at a mitsu dealer we had a black ralliart traded in and it was missing the stacker because it had been ripped out and sent off somewhere (by the dealer) to have it fixed and the discs removed..

I think a BIG HAMMER and some slight persuasion,< stuffed if i know how to spell it....it

And about $300 for a new cd player... If its a known problem i wouldn't put it back in.:nuts:

If you killed the power on the car it may reset itself enough to try something else .. (instead of it just playing radio) ... :confused:

With the ralliarts I beleive that if you but a CD in the 'main' H/U it overrides whats happening in the stacker... at least you could listen to a CD...

My dad had this happen on his car, after that he just made a copy of the CDs he want to put into the in-dash 6 stacker (Ford Fairmont Ghia) instead of risking losing the originals.

Obviously doesn't help you get them out this time, just a thought for the future.

My piece of junk did the same today. I just put 4 brand new cd's in that I haven't listened to yet and it spat the dummy.
I guess I need to pull it out and rip it open to get them out again????

my stock hu got E2 error won't load any disks =D getting warranty on it :D then sell it and buy aftermarket touchscreen hu =D

Someone who fixes those sorts of things should be able to get them out for you.
