can someone please tell me what the sensor on the opposite of the trottle/butterfly assembly that controls the auto transmission should be set at?

I own the same engine, yet i dont know, im thinking one of our more knowledgable members might know, sit tight and wait for their response, sorry i couldnt be of anymore help, kind regards

Mate just had a look a my TF and have no idea about the sensor you are talking about
take a pic if you can as the only thing i can see is my throttle cable.

He's talking about the TPS, if anybody knows the specs at all.

Something like 600mV. Dont qoute me on that though.

The w manual gives it as 0.3v to 1.0v with the throttle closed, but it is set by terminals 1 & 2 (black and yellow/red) being just closed on throttle at rest, and open with throttle using a 1.4mm feeler gauge
IMO it would be best to get the manual, as it will be very useful to have ready for things like this
I also strongly suggest that you get the TPS serviced, as it can cause all kinds of fault symptoms if intermittent
