You a tradesman?
12yrs in sheetmetal.... and general fabrication. with a touch of boilermaker.:D
And a dab of mechanic....lol
EDIT.. there will be no colour coding... its seems to change the cars style. i was considering but the more i see 2 tone magnas the better they look.. (2nd gens)
And i'm not going that far with the body, no kits or anything. maybe change the grill, and replace the right rear tail as its different from original. thats it!

That's a nice clean & straight looking Magna ya got there mate.
Couple of mod ideas for you to consider...
- Clear front corner indicators (Remove the amber parts - do a search on AMC).
- Colour code the side strips and front & rear bars.
- Buy a black tow ball cover.
- Superlows for the front (personal taste).
- KS verada front grille (black or white?).
- KS verada Para headlights.
- Debadge the rear.
...where did you pick up the clear side indicators? I cant find any for my TR :(Go to Mitsubishi & pick up some 380 Indicators/Side Repeaters.
Or there's some on 'Crystal Clear' ones on ebay (they are more clear/smooth/glossy BUT also more expensive).

I want to remove the amber backing from the front indicators, thinking about taking the last badge off, CBF with parras 2 $cey, i will one day lower it a little but need to be able to have ground clearance with a load, and i was thinkin a letterbox front grill....

I agree with you Trotty about the two tone Magnas, there's not too many neat two tones getting around and I reckon if you can get the front and rear bars and side skirts colour coded to a dark charcoal it'll look very schmik. I'm looking to do it with my wagon as I've had the boot garnish done with my tail lights.
As you can see on mine, the grey on the rear bar is way too light for the tinted windows and the tail lights, etc. Looking to get mine done in the next 2 months max.
Keep up the good work, Trotty.

Theres a difference between verada two tone and pov pack exec two tone if you get my jist?
if your going to do "two tone" personally i would make the whole bottom half of the car silver.

mean mag your tinted tail garnish and lights look very neat
never seen it done to a wagon before... looks very different and eye catching

Your wagon looks great.... mean magna.
I've seen a full 2 tone white magna, tbh i thought it was too much....

i think i may have asked before but how did you tint your tail lights and keep it shiney?
the more i see 2 tone magnas the better they look.. (2nd gens)
It sure does!
If anything, id get the lower body parts colour coded in a nice grey or black.

I'm getting mine done in a charcoal colour. You can't really see it 'cos of the light in my pic but the boot garnish isn't quite black, it's closer to a charcoal colour.
I didn't do the tail lights so I can't really comment on whether he used a clear coat but I reckon he probably would've.
I see what you mean TUFFTR about the varying two tones, mine's just an executive so nothing special.

$3 clear coat enamel will react with the arcylic or some crap and give you a semi gloss finish
You have to use the gloss arcylic clear coat which is like $17 a can, layer it on heavy, and keep the tails horizontal and you will get an incredible shine;)

lookin sweet dude, love the rims and exhaust, i agree though that yous hould colour code it, i love a white colour coded magna, stands out from the rest cos you almost never see them, looks mint, although it would cost more spraying the whole bottom half silver could be a good option.

Excuse my crap chop.
But i think this style of colour code would suit the car.
Still not full white and with the grey to break it up alittle.

That rear colour coding doesn't look too bad.. will consider.
Needs the grey to break it up...

+1 for completely colour coded white.
It's not racist:P to be all white. I see the white ones colour coded rarely but they look the best out of every colour.

guys i drove dan's car today and i was absolutely stoked at how much POWER it had
if anyone has driven a stock 180sx CA18DET, dan's car has more torque than one of these and more pull when going through the rpm.
i hopped in thinking okies here we go - i exited the drive way and planted it and after 1500-2000 rpm the front of the car lifted slightly and just flew
couldn't believe it
sounded very nice too
i reckon he needs to get this thing on the dyno and see what kind of figures it pulls up
i'd like to see what kind of torque it's got
don't be fooled by the sleeper looks, it's one fast SOHC
i'm thinking the quality of the pipe work he did on his car is responsible for most of it's torque and power
[TUFFTR]
12-01-2008, 05:56 PM
Well with 24K on the clock its basically right out of the factory.
Would be very interested to see what it pulls on the dyno
