Hey all,
haven't been on here munch lately, been looking for a new car and was looking at a legnum and couldn't get insurance for it because i lost my license last year. so i spotted a 2000 TJ Sports for $12000 and went and had a squiz at it. I went to do an oil change on my TS and found a heap of water in it and oil was in the water so i traded it in. i got $4300 for it i took my rims, stereo system, leather seat covers (up for sale if anyone wants them). all told with a few things fixed on the car (including $2000 of the price) was $5700 he he
its only done 122,000
hers a few pics of it.

W.T.F!
$4300 trade on a 2nd Gen.
Man, the salesman is going to feel some pain in his rear tomorrow after the severe (and brutal) invasion of that area that you achieved.
Nice steal, enjoy it.
EDIT: However you got stooged a little regarding foglights which are missing.

Nice work Perry. You got a top deal.
I hate to burst you bubble but you didnt really get $4300 for your 2nd gen..:) What they would of done is give you a big discount on the TJ.:)
It would of looked like you did if you look at window price and what you payed.. Yes you did get it but no you didnt if you know what i mean. the dealer has to sell that car now weather its retail or wholesale and it aint worth anything near that wholesale. The price you trade your car in is wholesale. As a wholesale price for trading your car in its worth between $500-$1000. the rest is made up by a discount on the TJ. I know you will understand what i mean as if you look at the contract of sale it will say you 2gen trade is price is like $1000 and the dealer told you he will write the price of the TJ down so you pay less on the transfers..:)
As a salesman you make the deal look alot better buy giving the customer more for there trade in and by telling the customer you will make the TJ cheaper and doing it that way to save on stamp duty is a good selling point.. Win win for the customer.
What you need to do is look at your change over price as that the amount of money coming out of your pocket. Let me tell you $5700 to get out of a 2gen with a gasket/head problem and into a manual TJ sports is the deal of the year.. Good work..:P
No excuse to come on a cruise now as you have a good car..
12990-2000 discount = 10990
10990-4300 trade = 6690
Dont know how you got 5700 but you did well. maybe its just late and my brain dont work.:)
