I am having a problem with water leaks in my 1995 Magna TS v6. Last year I noticed some water loss. I took it to the mechanic and he told me some of the hoses were loose. I went home and the car continued losing water. I did not care at that time because I was set to go overseas for 3 months. I get back from overseas this week and went to see how the car was. As I knew it was loosing water, the first thing I did was to put some coolant into the radiator. It was completely empty. Well, just after putting the coolant, I turned the engine on and checked for leakings. Then, I saw coolant almost running from the points indicated in the picture bellow. As my budget was not the best, I left the car in the garage.
Today, I went to check it again. I filled the radiator with some plain water. Well, with the engine turned off, no leaks. Then I turned it on, and I saw water dropping in the point indicated by the blue arrow. It is dropping in a frequency of a drop each 2 seconds. I tried to identify the exactly point where it is comming from, but I could not. It seems to be comming from behind that wheel (red arrow).
I was wondering, could it be water pump? If yes, how much would it be to replace it?
Also, if it confirms to be water pump, I would do the time belt as well, how much then?
Regards
Eduardo
