Yesterday i had a bit of fun with my mate in a stock VT with an exhaust 1997 model. I definatly felt like my car was a quicker car not by much but quicker but when it came to the punch side by side soon as he hit second gear he would start coming and eventully pass me by half a car length or even more by the end of second gear. Has anyone had any expiriences with basically stock auto vt commodors.? Is there something wrong with my car.?

Stock KJ against a stock VS (sounded stock) and I shredded it with tiptronic.

IRC - only have something like 115kw from factory?
(much less if it has the old crap lpg mixer fitted of course)

you should have beaten the como!
gear ratios would have been what let the como win.

saying that though, they can go ok for a holden i guess... *coughs*

maybe try changing gears earlier. you dont need to ring its neck out to get a good race time. change around 53-5500rpm

I'm just tellin it as it happened. Wether it was a crap VS with no power left or a decent VS in showroom condition I still beat it to the speed limit, then he proceeded to pass me at well above the speed limit when I stopped accelerating.
