Hi All. Some nights (generally when its very warm) my interior lights (dash
and centre console light) do not turn on when I turn the lights on and then
turn on after a while (I guess when the temp in the car cools down a bit,
dont know). The headlight remains on when this happens.

Anybody knows whats going on?

Had this problem in Mum's Camry and I replaced the dimmer control module... I'm sure you could find one at a wrecker's for small change.

Check your tail lights when this happens. I believe the dash lights and tail lights run on the same circuit.

I had the same problem with my TE when I bought it, you couldn't see anything with the interior light. My old man just went out and replaced the bulb, the one that was in it was nearly black. And I think he put in a brighter bulb, so now I can actually read maps in my car at night.

That shouldn't be, otherwise your tail lights would dim as well when you adjust the dimmer!

Ah, yeah, sorry my bad. They use the same fuse, not the same circuit.

Just be careful putting in a higher wattage bulb as this = more heat and the plastic covers have been known to melt from the heat.
You'll probably find the bulb is black as said previously and a new one will make a big diff, this was the case in my car to.
