hey everyone, I'm manda, my boyfriend tim is the owner of the TR.

ok, i'm used to working with many other vehicles but this is our first magna :doubt:

its a 91' 2.6L on LPG sedan auto.
I know its not supposed to be a fast car by any means, but i can have my foot flat to the floor on a slight hill at lights and the lights will be orange by the time i get through them.....:doubt: My dad thinks that the timing might be a tooth out and thats why its so sluggish. Its runs fine at top end speeds and never feels like its over revving. Tacho rarely goes over 2500 while cruising.

Any ideas? Anyone run one of these on LPG before, and had similar probs?

Ta.
Will post pics of the faded beast soonlol

nope its a very quiet engine suprisingly for its age and kms....

done close to 280*** maybe its just getting old and needs a rebuild, but the gas has been on for yrs and i know it doesn't cause much wear on an engine......:doubt:

Are you driving around under 70 clicks with the power (A\T) button on?? there should be a light on the dash that reads o\d off while driving around town but over 70 is when you use it.
just a thought.

How many klm has's it done. dose it burn oil?

How's it run on petrol? (compared to gas).

If anything, make sure ignition timing is set correctly.

doesn't burn oil, don't use the power button very often. Been told it doesn't run on petrol when we bought it, can't hear fuel pump kick in so assuming its dead and rather than fix they coverted it to gas.

Well if, when it was converted to gas, they didn't replace the valve seats with the hardened ones the seats could have receded and resulted in a lack of compression.

I would have the cylinders pressure tested as i would suspect pressure being lost through the valves.
