I think you would be lucky to get $5k honestly. Mods dont add value to a car in the buyers eyes.

remove some of ur mods kit/rims etc and sell them here

advertise on as many places as you can, omit most of the mods

put it up for $7500
and u should be able to get minimum $6000

i was going to say anywhere between 6-7.5k depending if you can pull the right person.

redbook is a joke, the prices are pathetically inaccurate, pay no attention.

edit: thats without the sound system. just wack a cheap cd player in with some cheap speakers. sell the stereo seperately and get much more money for it.

Id offer you $4.5k straight off the bat, maybe $5k with the stereo etc.....

Unfortunately Magnas, especially the 3.0L ones arent really worth jack which is good if you are buying one, but sucks major testie when trying to offload one......

I bet if Redbook was quoting high figures, then everyoner on here would be singing its praises. Whether you like it or not, a lot of people are going to use it as a guide when buying cars.

You'd be lucky if an insurance company paid out on Redbook prices, having been paid out in the past by RACV their assessor went through the Trading Post and averaged the price for similar cars, the average advertised price for identical cars was lower again than Redbook.

Redbook is only used by insurance companies to give customers a guide of what their car MIGHT be worth when they take out a policy, it definately isn't used when paying a claim.

The "Market Value" for a car is considered to be the average of all similar cars advertised at the time in the particular market (ie. Private or Dealer)
