Reading around, if you put a pulley kit on your car you seem to gain some power.
Bascially - It "underdrives" the alternator and the and air conditioner giving more power to the car.
Now to find if anyone makes them for our car and how much we're looking at :)

It just steals power from accessories such as aircon/power steering/alternator depending on which pulley(s) you exchange. Realistically this is probably the poor man's approach to gaining more power as you are getting less performance from whichever accessory you are reducing the drive ratio to.

Reducing power to your alternator can never be a good thing, especially for the true ICE enthusiast.
And im sure you will regret lowering the effeciency of your a/c compressor when your stuck in traffic on a 40 degree day
To Comfort or To Power? Now THAT is the question :D

ohhh, thanks I was wondering myself, to make u feel less stupid
also re the pullys if you have ever spun an alternator shaft it requires very little effort, like one fingers worth, you wouldnt make any difference changing the pulley, however you might endup with a flat battery next time you go for a decent drive with your lights and ICE on :D , also spinning the pully of the aircon compressor when the clutch isnt engaged takes almost no effort, so you would just end up without enough cold air when idling at the lights on hot days if u go smaller with pulley.

Heheh, thats why you get a 2nd gen magna and you get the 'eco' mode for the a/c ;)
i havent noticed anyy difference between 'Eco' and "a/c"
on my TR Eco is nice and cool, where as A/C getes bone chillingly cold :)
Both mods rob power like crazy, so i only use em on 35 deg + days :p

Eco turns on and off to maintain a "nice" temperature
A/C just keeps going.

I thought that is what the climate control system does? I also have found a/c is freezing cold, but eco is just cool.

The KS Veradas had climate control I think...
But the ECO, turns off and on...so it doesnt use as much fuel. Hence why it's called Economy mode.
Also..if you dont want it so cold..there's a temperature dial for a reason ;)
The ECO mode (yes I realise I'm just about contradict myself) can get just as cold as the A/C mode...I explained it wrongly before...my bad.

The econ mode on the 2nd gen is not really like a climate control, it just cuts in and out to keep cool instead of cold, wheras a climate control is a lot more complicated to turn on heater or aircon to maintain a set temp.
I used to have a TR now I have TF, and I reckon they dropped the economy option bec the aircon on the 3rd gen is nowhere near as good as on the 2nd gen. my TF aircon doesnt get anywhere near as cool as the TR even on econ. Have had it checked by Mitsubishi and they said nothing wrong with it.
