Just disconnect them and install your gear in the doors/kick panels

how would I go about putting 6" in the doors? what are kick panels? Yes Im noob.... Still young and learning.
You can leave them in but its easy to remove them
1)Remove the glovebox
2)Reach up in the dash to a wingnut at the top, remove it.
3)You can prise to panel covering the speakers at the front of the dash.
4)Remove speakers and refit panel.

Theres no space in the doors for 6" speakers so you will need to get a set of speaker pods, they hold the speakers on top of the door trims. You can get them cheap off ebay or make your own.

Check the car audio section, i know there are pics up of good installs into first gens (see FHRX's posts)
Someone will have it at their fingertips otherwise il find it another time.
You can fit 6's or 6.5s into the doors but only tiny 4" into the dash iirc.
(you would definetly want 6's if possible)

for the TP front speaker removal
pop off the two side plastic runners up the pillars to rgw roof
there is a metal cover on clips up to the windscreen up pop that up
remove on an upward angle it can bend a little but not too much
then a right angles philips tool you undo the two small (approx 4 inch) speakers each side
unplug the wiring loom

Chances are nothing else is going to fit in the dash, it's a very shallow spot.
And don't cut into the vent, there is stuff in it that you need.

would i be able to put new 4'' in the front?
am i able to take the dash apart without bending the corners enough to take the speakers out cause if i put new ones in im gunna have to splice cables and thatd be sorta hard while trying to bend brittle plastic..
4" are at best average, best bet is to just dump them and put 6" in the doors. If you get splits you can put the tweeters in the 4" dash spots.

Yeah i ended up punching my wind screen and put a massive crack in it because it pissed me off so much.
I suggest getting an old screwdriver and bending it.

the reason im taking them out is to put new ones in there.... your making it sound like im injuring little bunnies or something mate lol. ...Im NOT going top hurt them... :shifty:
Wanna put new 3'' in there, then move the 6'' i have from parcel shelf into doors then new 6x9's in parcel shelf then subbies and amps
sound ok?
maybe tweeters in the plastic running along side the windscreen? Might be something different...

See if you can just drop some wire down the holes you might be able to find them if you put your hand under the dash.
Or use a metal coat hanger or something and tape the wire onto it.
The reason people say just to leave them is because they are a pain in the ass to get to. Make sure the speakers you are going to put in are pretty much identical to shape to the original ones. If the magnet is to large, its going to sit on one of the vents and you wont be able to get your grill back on.
If you cant get the speakers in, i guess you could put them where i have put my tweaters.
