can someone explain the diff between the 3.5 or 3.0l like any visual diffrences?
the injectors are yellow not orange

I noticed that the 3.0 sat lower in the 3rd gens engine bay than the 3.5. My guess is that this is because of the lower deck height.

Don't 3.0L's have a silver front rocker cover, and 3.5's are black??

Nah not always, my TF was 3.0lt and it had a black rocker cover. I think only the TE's had silver.

i've noticed that too , my dads TF sits lower in the engine bay

well my car is a 98 advance and the engine site quiet high and i have the black covers too

Easiest way is to look at the engine number stamped on the block (to be 100% sure), this can be found on the front of the block facing you (when looking in) closer to the transmission side.
Also the 3.0L usually had something like Mitsubishi 24 valve stamped on the front cam cover (I transfered this to my 3.5 during the conversion).
Edit: forgot to add 3.0 will have 6G72 and 3.5 will have 6G74 some where in the engine number
