Does anyone know where I can find some extractors for my 89 TP Sedan? I was quoted about $1050 for a new set and thats way over the top for me. they reckon $500 for extractors, then I need a universal cat converter cause the existing one is part of the manifold. But I liked the quote for a new exhaust system. $320 for 2" mandrel bent. Not bad I thought. Also looking for a nice pair of wheels for it aswell. Nice mags or something. anyone know where to get? I dont see many new rims in 4 stud anymore. Im in Hampton park, near Dandenong in the SE suburbs of Melbs. thanks guys.

repco have them for like 300 buck's then go to a exhaust shop all up including new exhaust around 600 if that
Phillcom Rally was selling first gen extractors for ~$260 i think about 6 months ago, not sure if they are still available.
I regards to wheels, there are a few after market sets that will fit on a first gen, I think also lancer rims may fit, they have the same stud pattern but I dunno about the offset.

You are all forgetting the carb astrons have the cat as part of the manifold, you remove this and you have to replace it down the system or you are non emmission compliant
Cheap way, get a front exhaust from a wreck, use the extractors with the front section of modified exhaust and all good

this is EFI man. Is the cat part of the manifold on EFI?

NO, like Madmagna said it's only the carby versions that have it as part of the manifold. EFI has the cat further down the exhaust.

In that case all you need is the extractors and the flex pipe you have will be cut, welded to a new flange that then bolts up to the extractors

easy as. Im deff goin 2 get the mandrel piping. the extractors might be getting for $70 2nd hand but will check the quaility of em first. May just go new set would prob be safer. lookin at around $800 for the whole thing to be done. Also looking at putting in a pod/oval filter. Not sure whats better? hat is recommended? Im looking at one on eBay thats a turbo high performance pod filter. sound ok? Or will the turbo one rip the engine apart? IDK.
