Stepped into the car, went to apply the clutch, (motor not running). Partial loose function to the floor. So started the motor, then applied the clutch, but no go for 1st gear. Tried to start the car with clutch applied and in 1st gear, car moves forward. Not sure if it's the clutch plate or the master cylinder. slave cylinder changed 12 months ago. Please Help.

Gear oil NO
Cables NO

You have one of two problems,
Most likely from what you explain is the hydrolic system, check fluid level, poss leaking slave cyl
Pressure plate, but unlikely if it drove ok last drive

Replaced the Master Cylinder, all okay.:cool:
